Fire Kirin Beginner Guide: Your First Fish Table
Fire Kirin is the game most players picture when they hear "fish game" — it defined the genre. If you have only ever played slots, fish tables feel different: there is genuine skill in what you shoot and when. This guide gets you comfortable fast.
How a fish table works
You sit at a shared underwater screen with other players. A cannon at the bottom is yours. You aim it and fire bullets at fish swimming past. Catch a fish and you win credits based on that fish's value. Miss, and the bullet is spent.
The core idea: each shot costs credits, and each catch pays credits. Your job is to catch more value than you spend.
Bullet cost and bet level
Before firing, set your bet level — this is how much each bullet costs. Higher bet levels fire stronger bullets that catch bigger fish, but they drain credits faster.
Beginner tip
Start at the lowest bet level in a beginner room. Learn which fish are worth chasing before you scale up. Big fish look tempting, but they take many bullets to bring down.
Reading fish values
- Small fish — cheap, frequent, low payout. Good for steady bullets-back.
- Medium fish — better payout, still catchable at low bet.
- Bosses (dragons, kirins) — huge payouts, but they soak up a lot of bullets. Save these for when the table crowds in on them.
The special weapons
Fire Kirin's weapons hit multiple targets at once:
- Lightning chain — jumps between nearby fish
- Drill cannon — punches through in a line
- Bombs — area damage
They cost more per use, so most players save them for boss rounds when several big fish are on screen.
Beginner mistakes to avoid
- Firing non-stop at a boss alone. You will empty your credits before it dies. Wait for other players to join the fight.
- Playing too high a bet level too early. Learn the table first.
- Ignoring small fish. They keep your bullet count topped up between big catches.
